Restored 1998 Defender 300Tdi Station Wagon – Left Hand Drive. Ideal for Export.
The aim of this restoration was to create a tribute to the rare and desirable North American Specification Defender 110 rather than yet another 'Bling' Defender that looks like every other bling Defender. Vehicle was the cover feature in Land Rover Owner Magazine.Bodywork was fully removed from the chassis and then every panel professionally painted individually off the truck in Land Rover Chawton White. Chassis is 100% original with zero repairs. A thorough cleaning at the strip-down stage revealed much of the original factory gloss chassis paintwork, thanks to its former life in the Spanish climate. Chassis was repainted.
Axles overhauled with brand new calipers, rotors, pads, shafts, new sway bar etc.Steering and suspension fully overhauled with Genuine Parts springs and shocks and bushes. Period correct 300Tdi engine has been fitted with new timing belt, timing gears, idler pulley. Water pump, front seal, P gasket, heater plugs, tensioner pulley, hoses, new exhaust system, manifold gaskets.
