Double DIN installation

A typical application would be when installing a Puma Double DIN fascia and you need to extend the switches on one side of the dashboard to the switch relocation panel supplied with your Puma Double DIN fascia.

Td5 and Tdci switches

Our MUD Five pin Td5/Tdci extension loom covers all Defender dashboard switch applications. (Does not fit Hazard or Electric window switches). Braided sleeving provides a professional finish.

Each Td5/Tdci Extension Loom is supplied with our own custom 3D printed five-pin male connector and a five-pin female switch connector of your choice. Male and female pins are included. Connectors require self-assembly using a basic crimping tool.

Which connector do I need?

It is possible to use the regular black Five Pin female connector for all applications by removing the keyways from the connector body with a sharp blade. Selecting the correct colour connector that matches the respective switches makes life easier and provides a neater finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm relocating my switches to the side cheek using a Tdci/Puma switch relocation panel. How many switches will I need to extend the wiring of?

In most cases we expect you'll only need to extend the wiring of the two furthest away switches in order to refit them to the side cheek. So generally on Right Hand Drive vehicles, this means you'll need to relocate the switches furthest to the left of the dash which is the DSC or Spot 2 switch and the Heated Front Screen switch. On Left Hand Drive Vehicles that would be the Rear Wash and Fog Switches.
