As we pack our vehicles with an increasing amount of electrically powered equipment on our travels we have created a demand for a number of additional power supplies that a solitary dash mounted 12-volt socket is unable to fulfil.

We believe our range of 12volt sockets are the finest quality power sockets on the market. The MUD heavy-duty sockets will fit the standard Land Rover dashboard, your MUD Console, Pod, Tunnel Tray or anywhere inside of your vehicle.

Marine Grade Heavy-Duty 12v sockets

Top quality Swedish made 12v sockets. Black plastic housing contains non-corrosive nickel plated brass internals making these sockets suitable for automotive or marine use. These sockets feature a vibration proof, virtually failsafe locking action able to cope with the harshest of off-road environments. Ideal for fridges, GPS or any other 12v plug-in equipment that you need to rely on to stay powered up.

• Standard sized 6.3mm spade terminals for quick and easy wiring

Surface Mount HD 12v power socket.

The surface mount 12v socket uses the same 12v socket as our round heavy-duty socket but comes supplied within a moulded housing suitable for mounting on any flat surface.

The rubber cap can be adjusted in all directions and so that the 12v text can always be read no matter the orientation of the mount.

Round 12v Socket. 

Our most popular 12v socket. The round style socket is secured using a screw-on locking ring on the back of the socket. This socket can be used anywhere in the vehicle. The dimensions of the socket make it suitable for fitting within the MUD Console or MUD Pod

• Mounting hole diameter required: 30mm
• Socket external diameter: 37mm
• Depth - including terminals: 47mm

This socket uses a 30m diameter mounting hole. A standard cigar lighter style socket uses a 28mm diameter hole. If you upgrading to one of our Heavy Duty sockets you will need to enlarge the existing fixing hole by 2mm.

Rectangular 12v Socket. 

Surface mounted socket is secured using two screws (screws not supplied). Surface mount makes this ideally socket suitable fitting on any flat surface within your vehicle.

Universal 12v Plug. 

Useful two-in-one 12v plug that doubles up as both a standard cigar lighter style plug or a DIN/Hella plug. Screw terminals within the body of the plug allows for easy upgrading of any standard 12v plug. Plug is rated at 16amps.

For regular use with the standard 12v socket in your car, the plug operates with the red adaptor in place.

For use with a DIN/Hella type of socket, you simply remove the red adaptor with a twisting action to turn the standard 12v plug into a DIN plug.

When used with our range of our Heavy Duty power sockets the standard 12v plug function offers a positive locking action equal to that of a DIN plug. This makes the plug/socket combination ideally suited to off-road and expedition use.
