SVX Defender Clear LED Tail Lamps

The MUD-UK SVX Defender Clear LED lamps will fit the Land Rover Defender of any age. The SVX Defender Clear LED lamps are 95mm in diameter making them the same size as the North American Specification (NAS) lamps that are a popular upgrade with Defender owners.
Clear LED tail lamps were fitted by Land Rover on various 'Limited Edition' models including the 60^th Anniversary SVX, 'Fire and Ice', 'Rough', and the 2011 X-Tech special edition Defender models. The SVX lamps are now available as a factory fit option on any new Defender. Note that the indicator turn signals on SVX, Fire & Ice, Rough and X-Tech models ARE NOT LED units. MUD can supply a pair of LED units to replace the standard 'bulb' lamps on these models.

The MUD-UK SVX Defender Clear LED lamps are not cheap Chinese made copies of the genuine thing, nor are they merely a clear lamp lens with an LED bulb fitted. Each of our SVX Defender Clear LED lamps is a high-quality sealed LED unit. We source our lamps from the same manufacturer as Land Rover therefore the quality and performance of our lamps is guaranteed.  All of our SVX Defender Clear LED lamps carry European ‘E marking’ indicating their fitment is approved for use anywhere in Europe. Crucially they comply with UK MoT testing criteria.
All MUD-UK SVX Defender Clear LED lamps carry a 12-month warranty.

MUD-UK SVX Defender Clear LED lamps offer a huge improvement in performance over the traditional Defender tail-lights as well as adding a bright modern styling feature to any Defender.

MUD-UK SVX Defender Clear LED lamps are available in four different types of lamp function.

Reverse/Back up

Fog

Non NAS Defenders require mounting plinths when replacing the standard indicator and stop/tail lamps.

The MUD Clear LED Fog and Reverse lamps will fit directly into the factory fitted plinths on all NAS trucks and post 1998 Defender models fitted with the 95mm round fog and reverse lamps.
 

All MUD Clear LED SVX lamp units are available to buy as a lamp only for fitting into any existing plinths.

All MUD Clear LED SVX lamp units can also be supplied as a combination kit containing lamps, plinths and gaskets.

We supply foam gaskets with all of our lamp/plinth combination kits adding another improvement over the Land Rover factory installation.

NOTE. Gaskets are only supplied when purchasing the lamp and plinth kits. Gaskets are not supplied when purchasing lamp units only.

LED Indicator’s require an additional resistor wiring into the harness in order to cure the ‘fast-flash’ characteristic that occurs when retro-fitting LED indicators.

MUD-UK supplies an optional loading module to eliminate this fast-flash characteristic. One loading module is required per LED indicator.

We supply each LED lamp with compatible wiring connectors (not fitted to the lamp wiring) that will plug straight into the existing Defender lamp harness on all post 200Tdi Defenders fitted with one piece tail-lamps.

When upgrading the pre-Td5 rectangular fog and reverse lamp our Clear SVX LED Lamps are supplied with weatherproof male and female plug and socket connectors to Land Rover factory specification.

Using the same type of sealed wiring connector that Land Rover uses adds an additional touch of MUD quality to the installation

A wire crimp tool will be required recommended for installing the wiring connectors

You will require mounting plinths when replacing the standard indicator and stop/tail lamps with the larger SVX LED Clear Lamps.

We can supply the indicator and stop-tail lamps as a unit only kit for owners of NAS trucks already fitted with the 95mm plinths.

The MUD Clear LED Fog and Reverse lamps will fit directly into the factory fitted plinths on all NAS trucks and post 1998 Defender models fitted with the 95mm round fog and reverse lamps. If you have the round Fog and Reverse Lamps fitted then no plinth is required.

If you have a Pre-98 Defender fitted with rectangular Fog and Reverse lamps, you will require plinths when upgrading to SVX LED Clear Lamps.

All lamps are supplied with stainless-steel fixings and wiring connectors.

Indicator lamps are supplied with loading modules.
