MudPod£43.00 inc VAT NEW - Mini MudPod now available - click here The MudPod is another MUD designed solution that solves the problem of how/where to mount extra switches, controls and gauges into the Defender dashboard. The MudPod provides a neat and simple to install solution for competition users, expedition vehicles and emergency vehicles whose requirements demand additional dashboard space in order to accommodate auxiliary controls. The textured finish of the ABS moulding replicates the Defender dashboard texture to provide a 'factory' look once the MudPod has been installed.
Each MudPod comes supplied as a blank moulding for the user to do with it whatever they wish. With 305mm by 60mm of available space on the front face, the MudPod offers enough surface area to accept five standard sized 52mm auxiliary gauges or more than enough of room to mount a multiple switch bank of the most popular type of aftermarket switches (Carling/Eaton). Another obvious advantage of the MudPod blank moulding is that it allows the user to reuse or relocate any existing switches/controls, gauges they may already have fitted.
Looking to install the MudPod in something else besides a Defender? The MudPod mounts using our own unique MUD designed mounting plate. The MudPod can be installed without the need for any holes to be drilled into the dash. A major benefit of our MUD mounting plate is that you can easily transfer the MudPod between vehicles without damaging the dashboard or leaving unsightly screw holes. The MudPod mounting frame utilises the opening in the Defender dash normally filled by the ashtray. This aperture provides enough room to route the wiring for extra switches and controls to the MudPod.
