The MUD Puma Pod provides a solution to fitting extra switches and controls into the  2.4 & 2.2 Tdci (Puma) Defender dashboard.

The MUD Puma Pod is available in two different options.

Option A.  £35.00 Inc VAT

The MUD Puma Pod is supplied with a pre-cut aperture to accept a Carling Technologies 6-Switch gang mount. The Carling 6-Switch Gang Mount is supplied with the Puma Pod. Carling Switches are not included. Click here to see our range of Carling Technologies switches.

Option B. £30.00 Inc VAT

The MUD Puma Pod is supplied as a blank moulding with no cut-out.

This version of the Puma Pod permits the fitment of optional accessories and controls into the front fascia of the Puma Pod by cutting the plastic moulding to suit your requirements.

The MUD Puma Pod is fastened to the top surface of the Tdci Dashboard using plastic rivets. The Puma Pod Moulding uses a CAD manufacturing process to precisely follow the Tdci dashboard profile

The footprint of the MUD Puma Pod measures 270mm x 107mm

The maximum width/height of the fascia is 245mm x 75mm

The MUD Puma Pod attaches to the top off the dashboard using plastic rivets.
Fixing holes will have to be drilled into the top of the dashboard for the fixings. An additional hole is required in the pen-tray in the top of the Puma Dashboard in order to route wiring etc.

FAQ. Will the Puma Pod fit my Tdi/Td5 Defender?

Yes and No!

The depth of the Puma Pod means the rear of the pod will overhang the top dashboard surface nearest the windscreen. The front of the moulding has been profiled to follow the contours of the Tdci dashboard. This means when the Puma Pod is fitted onto the top of the earlier Defender dashboard it will leave a gap between the Pod and the dashboard. Because the rear of the Pod will overhang the dashboard only two of the four fixings can be used.

Theoretically the Puma Pod can be made to fit the earlier model dashboard but in our opinion the end result is less than ideal.
