These fabricated stainless steel hinges have been designed to counter the current Defender Puma Bonnet Theft epidemic. The MUD-UK Defender bonnet/hood security hinges prevent the bonnet/hood from being simply lifted from the vehicle as is the case with the regular Defender bonnet hinges.

Designed and manufactured by GMB-Mount in Germany to the highest standards, the Defender Bonnet Security Hinges are fabricated from Stainless Steel. Hinges are supplied unpainted to allow the user to paint the hinges to match the colour of their vehicle.

The hinges features a POM (Polyoxymethylene) insert and each hinge kit is supplied with stainless steel fasteners.

A new Defender bonnet/hood to fit the latest Puma models currently costs £450.00 from Land Rover. Add hinges, graphics, bonnet stay, lock mechanism and painting, plus VAT and you'll be looking at almost £1000.00 to replace a stolen bonnet. The MUD-UK Defender Bonnet Security hinges will provide a visible deterrent to hood theft at a fraction of the cost of a new bonnet.

An added element of the security hinge design is a feature that allows the fitting of an optional Hi-Lift jack carrier.

Fitting kit supplied. Brackets supplied in pairs.

The Hi-Lift is attached to the brackets using wing-nuts provided in the fitting kit although a useful method of secure attachment is to use the popular Thule locking knobs as illustrated above.

These are designed for roofrack security and available to buy in pairs.
